Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway, born November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York is an American actress. She was inspired to pursue career in acting by her mother, who is also an Actress. She took part in numerous plays throughout her schooling and later enrolled into Barrow Group Theater acting program to receive training as a stage actress.
Her professional career started with her role in “The Other Side of Heaven”, during filming of which, she has also auditioned for a lead role in “The Princess Diaries”, a movie that would become a great success. The movie spawned a sequel and 3 audio books, in which Anne also voiced the main character. Anne’s career took a more serious turn, when she opted in for

more dramatic roles. Her big box office success came with her role in “Brokeback Mountain”, a movie both acclaimed by critics and a commercial triumph. She received several Oscar nominations for her performance. Her next work includes a comedy “The Devil Wears Prada”, where she appeared alongside Meryl Streep, and a drama “Becoming Jane”. Anne was also cast for the lead role in “Knocked Up”, but later changed her mind over disagreements with the director and was replaced by Katherine Heigl.
